Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy – Aitoz Multidisciplinary Review (AMR)

The Aitoz Multidisciplinary Review (AMR) ensures long-term preservation and accessibility of all published research articles. The journal follows digital archiving best practices to safeguard scholarly content against data loss, system failures, or any unforeseen circumstances.

1. Digital Preservation Methods

AMR employs multiple archiving strategies to ensure permanent access to published content:

A. Institutional & Digital Repositories

  • All articles are deposited in institutional repositories and recognized digital archives for long-term preservation.

B. LOCKSS & CLOCKSS

  • AMR utilizes LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) to create distributed backup archives.
  • These systems enable libraries to collect and preserve content indefinitely.

C. DOI & Indexing Services

  • Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent and reliable citation.
  • Articles are indexed in academic databases and repository networks for widespread visibility.

2. Self-Archiving Policy

  • Authors are permitted to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or preprint servers.
  • Authors may share:
    • Preprints (before peer review): Anywhere with proper citation.
    • Accepted Manuscripts (post-peer review, pre-publication): With a link to the final published version.
    • Published Articles (Version of Record): In repositories or academic social networks under the Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0 or CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

3. Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • AMR maintains redundant backups of all articles to prevent data loss.
  • The journal follows a disaster recovery plan to restore access in case of a technical failure.

4. Compliance with Open Access & Preservation Standards

AMR's archiving policy aligns with:

  • Higher Education Commission (HEC) archiving requirements
  • DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) preservation standards
  • OpenAIRE, Portico, and other digital preservation initiatives

5. Access & Availability

  • Published articles remain permanently accessible without restrictions.
  • Authors, researchers, and institutions can freely access archived content at any time.

AMR is dedicated to ensuring the long-term availability and integrity of published research for the global academic community.
